This track was released in 2017 as a single, however it is a song that fits with this albums concept, and as such we re-mastered it and included it in this album.
lyrics
A shadow crawls
Across my flaw
And the garden lights
Beat to the seconds
Seconds I waste
Lying awake
To the tune of
Twenty
Forty
Twenty
Forty
Sixty
Oh No, Oh No, Oh No
It all goes
Oh No, Oh No, Oh No
It all goes away
A black crawler
Long legged
Caresses my spine
To eat at my flesh
With white tailed traits
And all I try to do is sleep
But I
But i can’t
To the tune of
Twenty
Forty
Twenty
Forty
Sixty
Nothing haunts more than this lying grace
as its meaning so why give chase
I’m too weak to wear these coined-on-eyes
The time we have it skews in mind
And fleets away with every passing line
Confused
With the dilution
That we may
That we may
Live forever
To the tune of
Twenty
Forty
Twenty
Forty
Sixty
Now!
Oh no, Oh no, Oh no, Oh oh
Oh no, Oh no, Oh no, Oh oh
Oh no, Oh no, Oh no, Oh oh
Oh no, Oh no, Oh no, Oh
No!
It’s true what they say
Father knows best
It’s true what they say
Eighty years left
I remember hearing this album way back when it just came out, listening to it on YT on repeat. And now I have it in 2022 on CD! Excellent for fans of prog metal, with a nice balance of genres. PunkGalFury
Illyria features a progressive post-black, post-hardcore, metalcore mashup with elements of other genres, including indie and sometimes jazz. I love the use of nature sounds incorporated into the music. I also love the post-black metal influence, which is most prevalent in Illyria's eponymous album.
My favorite track from the Illyria album is "Wonder." It showcases the best of Illyria, and includes a delicious melodic riff at the end. wast3dp0tential
Streamlining their post-metal sprawl through a sharper melodic focus, the Scottish juggernauts' third LP is labyrinthine yet approachable. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 25, 2024
The Indonesian act Kekal leaves no genre unturned, colliding black metal with industrial music with melodic post-rock on this stunning LP. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 25, 2023
